WELCOME BLOG AROUND THE WORLDERS!!

BOOMER SOONER!!!

Well...welcome to OKLAHOMA! Please don't judge Oklahoma by my blog though, as I really don't know what I'm doing. My blog isn't all blingy and pretty. I can barely upload my pictures :o It doesn't have anybody's buttons on my sidebar, nor any great music playing in the background :( Please...no one be offended...I just am not very computer savvy :( I just recently learned how to right click :o My reason for telling you all of this is that even though my blog is a bit sad and blingless...I know it would take me years to learn what you all know...and quite frankly...I would rather just read YOUR blogs :) You see, that's why I love blogging, because I can read about how Lisa...just as ordinary as I am...goes through a lot of what I do every day. Or how Kat isn't crafty like me...and that makes me feel so very good :) Oh...and how I wish I could know all about music like Jennifer P. I can also get great menu ideas and recipes from all you beautiful people...just right at my fingertips! Okay, so I ramble and am NOT a good writer...and use waaay too many....'s. I won't keep you, I know you have a busy schedule...(probably still a bit jetlagged from our trip to Hawaii yesterday!) but this is my ONE day in the spotlight to tell all of you how much you enrich my life on a daily basis...so I'm gonna use this post as a way to say thank you for making me feel like a normal person but still aspire to do better! You all truly amaze me! Sorry I didn't show you any pictures of teepees and Indians :) (We really DO NOT live in teepees here!) Oklahoma really is a GREAT place to live! You are always welcome here! And with that...I'll try to upload some pictures for ya!!!

Just stopping by from BATHW. Wow! What a great thing to post. Saying thank to the other bloggers out there. I have been to OK! And had a great time. I went to my very first rodeo. Ohh and I know that you don't really live in Teepee's hehe even though I had someone once tell me that as well when I told them I was from MN.

Here from Arkansas....so being neighbors I have been to Oklahoma several times. It is one of my favorite states. Thanks for the tour.

I think you said it all!! Your reasons to blog are mine!! I am so glad we were partnered together for the Favorite Thing Swap!! I did live in Enid - years ago. My dad was in the Air Force and we were stationed there. Anyways, I am glad today is your BATW day and my husband would make me say "Hook 'Em!" I hope I can still be your friend!

What a neat post--and you described why I blog too :)

Oklahoma is cool, I mean it is next to the Great State of Texas ;)

Happy BATW day!

Just popping over from MA, and I CAN. NOT. WAIT. to see how the house turns out! I love the picture in the previous post.

Congratulations on your BATW spotlight.

I am a fellow Oklahoman, but living in Georgia currently. I lived in Tulsa and Claremore, for 8 years when I was in high school. I love the area, there are 4 seasons, and I was a Sooners fan. I don't get to watch much tv, following kids and their activities around all the time, so I don't see much sports.

Congrats again.
Hugs from Georgia, Amy ;)

Don't you worry about a lack of "bling" :) This is your blog, so as long as you're the author, it's perfect :D
Meanwhile... Though I haven't been there in a long time, I was born in Oklahoma. I remember being a kid and my dad going through the house singing, "Boomer Sooners, Boomer Sooners...". That's all :)

Ditto Lauren--your blog seems to be perfectly YOU! Reading it seems like just sitting down in the kitchen for a chat, and a very fun and uplifting one at that. Everyone needs friends where "what you see is what you get"! Happy BATW Day!

Here from BATW.

This is my first visit here and I'm going to be back. I like your blog, it's friendly and I feel like you're sitting at my kitchen table catting away about your life ! :-)

I think you said it very well...

Boomer Sooner! Way to represent. And I'm glad that Debbie decided that football had to be done RIGHT and go with OU!

It was good to "meet" another Sooner last week, and I'm glad that you got featured this week!

Howdy! Thanks for the BATW tour of Oklahoma! I've never been there (I've just flown over the midwest, sadly, and haven't yet driven through it) but one of these years, I'm going to rent an RV and take Hubby and Kiddo on a vacation across the country! Toby Keith's from OK, right? Just one other reason to stop by! :)

Cheers!

Stopping over from Utah. I was sad to leave Hawaii but this is a great stop too.

Welcome to the blog world. It is really great to get to know so many amazing people out there that are real and down to earth and dealing with the same things everyday with amazing grace. Loved your post.

Are you building a castle? All those arches, WOW!!! It looked incredible.

Happy BATW. Thanks for the tour. When I started out blogging, I had no idea what I was doing too. As you go on, you'll get the hang of it. No worries. I love the picture of your home. It looks like it will be beautiful.

you are so cute. I think this was one of the best posts ever, just you plan and simple. I loved it. Great work.

Girl I have felt blogger deficient too and started to get a complex after seeing all the beautiful blogs out there, but I 'm kind of over it now. It is what it is. I love yours. I love the picture you posted of your new house in the post below. The architecture is stunning. Great job. My good friend is from OK and she just moved to Denver. A lot people think that Ok is just cowboys and indians. I live in Texas so we mingle with lots of Oklahoma folks. They aren't cowboys or indians usually oil industry folks.

I love simple and short posts and uncomplicated blogs without all the bling. I get really intimdated when there are 30 - 50 comments....
I´m glad to have met you and hope you come to visit my place sometime in the future!
Will be back!

I've been to OK once. It was fun. We went to someplace called Abuelo's and had an insanely delicious chocolate flan. SO YUM. That alone would make me come back. And then it snowed. Brrrr! I don't do cold. At all. But I had a blast. Thanks for hosting. Your post was very sweet. It too is why I started blogging. And now I'm hooked. Don't worry about being computer savvy, you can pick up a few things here and there. ;)

I love this post. Very much. Staci, you are such a sweetie. And I surely hope that you don't think you need a fancy blog with bling and pictures to have someone want to come and "hear" what you have to say. Because coming here is not the same as READING other blogs. Because I can hear YOU in your words. And you never fail to put a smile on my face. Never. Enjoy your day in the sun!!

You have a beautiful family, and I will be back to read more. I started blogging in April 2007 and have learned alot from the gals that I have met along my blogging journey, and so will you. Thank you for having us over for your tour, I have been blessed meeting a new friend.

I really don't think your blog needs to have the flashing lights of Vegas on it to be interesting. It's all about content, and that is something YOU definitely have. :)
